Setup and maintenance
Install the canister below the aquarium water level, prime it completely before startup, and allow room for hose routing and service access. Actual flow will be lower after accounting for media load, hose length, lift height, and normal head loss. Rinse mechanical media regularly and preserve established biological media during maintenance to avoid disrupting the aquarium’s nitrogen cycle.
