Installation & Maintenance Notes

Place the canister below the aquarium and allow enough cabinet clearance for hose routing and service access. Fill the canister as directed before startup. The pump may run, pause to evacuate air, and restart during its normal priming sequence.

The FX4 and FX6 include a utility valve that supports powered draining and water-change functions; any accessory hose or kit specifically required for the chosen method may be sold separately. The smaller FX2 is designed to be drained manually.

Biological filtration requires an established colony of beneficial bacteria. Cycle new systems and monitor ammonia and nitrite. Rinse reusable foam and biological media in removed aquarium water to help preserve bacteria. Actual circulation varies with installation height, hose routing, media loading, and debris accumulation.
